Quick Disclaimer: This stream-of-consciousness share is not open for commentary regarding the “dream” that is shared below, kindly… especially if it’s not in a therapeutic sense.
Can you criticize my writing? Of course. Free speech, and all that.
But what someone dreams about- even if it’s a dream they’ll never achieve - is sometimes a lighthouse needed in the dark.
Let’s put it this way: If you didn’t know this was something I’ve talked about as a mother and a partner on a monthly basis for the last decade or so with those closest… Then we probably need to know each other better before shooting down a dream. You know what I mean?
The point is as follows: Sometimes, even just letting our dreams see sunlight can help fight stigma in someone else, or for someone else… or even just for ourselves.
Responding to hurt and horrors by studying, learning, and attempting to grow from those very subjects is hard work… but anyone who comes for you in that department is probably not someone you want to grab coffee with anyways.
So keep going, if you can.
Keep learning where you’re ignorant, keep empowering yourself where you’re weak, and keep looking for that lighthouse even when it’s been way too dark for way too long.
Reacting to nightmares by researching dream waves is (hopefully) an admirable dream to be.
PS. Hope this extra long piece of the puzzle feels like an apt THANK YOU for the supportive Word Nerds who make this all possible!
I have always wanted to adopt a child.
