You did it! The last day of the story is here…
The last piece of video specially made to try to give you as much “extra sauce” for your time and kindness as possible (to try to make this place more than just words slapped on plaster….
And, the last day of updating about all the “things exploding inside of me” or being “four times worse than they should be”, before giving a solid udpate on cervical spine surgery healing, when or if I’m dealing with the exploding things in the future, and what else might be blowing up or healing in life these days.
Hopefully. I can even get back to what I love the most but most people love the least:
Talking about the same grandmother skincare products I use again and again and again (because if it isn’t your routine… How can you call it a routine or know how it works in the long term sciency way?)
I have been working hard behind on the scenes on getting as many special things to offer here as I can!
More interviews like some of my favorites from the past, for example (see this and then that)- So that, hopefully, your time here feels like more than just my verbose diary, archived (though that was once requested and started this whole Every Weekday Promise so at least one buddy is happy out there?)….
But ALSO like my eventual dream of being much more like my sister and I’s favorite website of all time way back when, xoJane.
It was sprung from Jane magazine and had so many female voices featured and magnified, that the day I had one of my columns on xoJane the website (which led to multiple being chosen thereafter- though the website doesn’t exist anymore so there is no proof)… It was one of my proudest moments ever as a writer because I felt like I was doing something my big sister respected and… damn if that doesn’t feel good, indefinitely. (If you’re a little sibling, you get it.)
Here?
The goal was a lasting, unfolding memoir which you can return and re-read whenever you choose.
THANK YOU for seeing this week’s story through and being my friend!
PS: ANYONE can ask for a year scholarship [full access to all writing] any time they want or need. Supportive Word Nerds help keep this work going, and help make that possible for anyone out there who asks.
Stuff likes to explode inside of me.
Not really, but sort of.
